Hey! I’m Sara, the lady behind The CatKit!

I’m a mum of two children, two cats, and a dog. I’m also an illustrator and I volunteer to spread animal welfare awareness through KAR (Knowledge on Animal Rescue) both online and in schools and events.

I started The CatKit because I wanted to make good-quality, great-value-for-money, and animal-safe enrichment products for pets available in Egypt.

Our core values are: Responsible x Affordable x Fun

Responsible —both in our Product design as we are committed to being responsible in our products, ensuring they are safe in both design and materials used.

And through our Social Responsibility:
10% of profits from all our products are used towards helping animals. We’ve partnered with the Leaf Animals Adoption Website to help promote their animals for adoption through our #catkit_adopt segment. Since KAR’s efforts in animal advocacy are completely volunteer-driven, The CatKit is the reason KAR is able to do what it does. We also try our best to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We use kraft paper and cardboard in our packaging whenever we can. We use wood instead of plastic sticks for our wand toys. And our toy material is mainly felt, which is environmentally friendly. We are always striving to find more environmentally friendly alternatives that give the same quality and value.

Affordable —We strive for our products to always be great value for money.

Fun—We research and study what animals like and what makes them tick to offer products that will keep them entertained and enrich their lives. We always like to say:
We know cats!
And this helps us design products that will make them happy!

At The CatKit, it’s not just about toys—it’s about making a difference for pets, their owners, and the animal community.
